Paul Knorr was one of the leading German makers of the early 20th century. In 1921, he established himself in Markneukirchen, an important and prolific violin-making center in Saxony.
His workmanship was more informed than his contemporaries and adhered more closely to the classical Cremonese tradition.
We have sold numerous examples, and their bold, projecting sound has consistently proven them to be successful concert instruments.
