Kurt Gütter emerged as one of more highly skilled makers from Markneukirchen during the 1920s.
He utilized the best classical Cremonese models, and his instruments are notable for high-quality maple, well-conceived arching, and beautiful antique varnish. These attributes all combine to give Gütter’s instruments, such as this violin, very fine tonal qualities.
