Giovanni Pistucci was one of the leading makers in Naples at the beginning of the 20th century. He was a clever copyist, especially of the Gaglianos, and his instruments often passed in earlier times as original.

Nevertheless, his work is easily recognizable, and his instruments have become widely appreciated in recent years.
