Aegidius Kloz, Mittenwald, 1780 – 1/2 size violin

From the prolific Kloz family of violin makers, Aegidius Kloz was one the best Bavarian violin makers of his time. His instruments are known for their dark red-brown varnish and a more elegant style of craftsmanship than other family members practiced.

This smaller example of his work is in excellent condition and boasts a rich, open sound that belies its size and price.
